Food Assistance
Judy’s Pantry is the collaboration of Cape farmers, gardeners, and a local church who work to share the bounty of fresh, local produce (as well as offering other non-perishable foods). The pantry was started in 2010 by Nancy Miles in memory of Judy Simonds, one of the founders of the first Cape Community Garden. Judy’s Pantry is held at the Cape Elizabeth United Methodist Church, 280 Ocean House Rd. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month (3 – 5 p.m.) and is currently helping to feed between 18-22 families. You must be a Cape resident and fill out a short form for pantry eligibility. Visit the pantry site here.
The pantry is run by many dedicated volunteers, headed up by Beth Owens. Email Beth for more information or to donate food or other assistance.
